We are thrilled to announce a major expansion of our placement network following a hugely successful hospital partner recruitment at the end of 2025.
The trip was documented in a short summary clip and a series of travelogues shared via our Instagram and Facebook pages and has more than doubled our capacity by introducing a range of exciting new placement sites across Kenya, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia and Rwanda.
FTE now offers approximately 75 places at any one time, spread across more than 13 sites in 8 countries. This expanded footprint allows us to offer students genuine choice both in terms of geography and clinical focus.
To help students navigate the options, we have created the Elective Picker which makes it easy to match interests and learning goals with the right placement.
New Sub-Specialist Options
Among the new offerings are dedicated sub-specialist tracks in Ophthalmology and Orthopaedics ideal for students with a strong career focus in these areas. These represent a significant step forward in the depth and diversity of what FTE can provide.
